Charles Tyner is the Senior Physical Therapist of Performance Physical Therapy and is the Clinical Director of the LaPlace clinic. He attended the University of New Orleans where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with Honors. Charles earned his Master of Physical Therapy degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. He has recently received his Certificate of Completion in Orthopedic Manual Therapy from the Ola Grimsby Institute which has consisted of over two years of advanced post-graduate residency training in orthopedic manual therapy. He is currently in the process of completing research on Inter-Rater Reliability of Segmental Mobility Testing of the Cervicothoracic Junction as the final component in obtaining his Post-Graduate Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the Ola Grimsby Institute. Charles conducted research in the past through LSU on the Reliability of Patellofemoral Assessment. He has attended many additional courses in manual therapy offered by Stanley Paris at the University of St. Augustine and by Ola Grimsby Institute. He is certified in performing WorkSaver Pre-Placement Job Screenings by the Industrial Safety & Rehabilitation Institute (ISR) and has training in performing Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCE) through ISR.

In his four years as a physical therapist, Charles has had the opportunity to train under some of the top manual therapists throughout the country and has gained tremendous knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic pathologies. Charles is a native of Jefferson Parish, graduating from Ecole Classique in 1987, and in his spare time, he enjoys exercising and water sports.
